We are in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky at The Brown Hotel. This is the Best Hotel in Louisville and possibly all of Kentucky!!! And today we are giving you a tour and review of this epic hotel. This historic Grand hotel should not be missed when in Louisville, Kentucky. The Brown Hotel sits right in the heart of Louisville. This icon of a hotel is on the corner of 4th and Broadway, across the street from the Brown Theater and steps away from the star of Louisville, The Louisville Palace.
The Brown Hotel holds the coveted AAA 4 diamond award. Its bar is a must for any Bourbon enthusiast and has also been named one of the best bars in America by many different publications.
Our room is spacious and decorated with rich colors and woods with equestrian décor. This landmark hotel also has plenty of dining options while staying here. There is J. Grahams Cafe, The Lobby Bar and Grill and The English Grill. And all travelers should at least order one Hot Brown while staying at The Brown Hotel. The Hot Brown was invented at this hotel in the 20's. After a night of drinking and dancing guests wanted something to eat and this concoction of bread, turkey, bacon, cheese and sauce was baked to perfection.
The Brown Hotel is also a great place to purchase a unique "only in Louisville" type gift at The Brown Hotel gift shop. This is where you can find clothes monogramed with The Brown Hotel logo, bourbon infused chocolates, over the top Kentucky Derby Hats and bedazzled horse shoes.
