❌ Huntertown Arms is making the PS90 threaded shroud again:
These run about $200. I suggest Gunsmith installation, so figure maybe another $100 to remove blind pin.
You'll need some 15mm wrenches, thinned to about .220" to tighten the barrel.
I would suggest that if you drill the pin out yourself, start closed to the outside of the shroud rather than right dead center with the hole.
The biggest issue with this shroud is it changes the way the gun operates IMO. The factory P90 and PS90 barrels "float". They move about .020-.030". This shroud removes that movement.
They would need to bring the threaded portion inside the barrel an extra .25" or so, so that the barrel can stop up against the end of it allowing movement. Also because of that you will not be able to torque the barrel down to 30-35ft lbs. You'll have to tighten it snug.
I attempted 30 ft lbs and it would cause the take down button to bind and I never got the wrench to click.
The brass looks good after firing, and am probably making it a bigger deal, but The movement being fixed could translate to more wear on the stock and action.
I was hoping HTA would call me back but they never did.
If you want to suppress your PS90 this is the only way so far, but be mindful of the above points.
