Dhyana Patel is proving to be the next big thing from Gujarat Chess. The 16-year-old scored 26.5/27 at the World Schools event that was going on since a year. She recently also achieved her maiden WIM norm and has a live rating of 2155. When asked about her secret of improvement, she mentioned about working on her game and fixing her weaknesses. She is also working with the well-known Israeli GM Viktor Mikhalevski, the former trainer of Arjun Erigaisi.
We bring you Dhyana's final round game at the World Schools against Lucie Fizerova (1711). Check out the intensity and the pressure. Although Dhyana won the game, her team Gujarat State Chess Association lost. In the end the GSCA team finished a commendable 6th among schools from 54 countries!
