A medicine ball slam is a good total body exercise that helps with power, muscular strength, and weight loss. Also known as the MB slam, this exercise is in the sagittal plane of motion. Raise the medicine ball overhead and explosively throw the ball down. Keep the arms straight and activate the core muscles to get the most from the downward motion. Then, as the ball bounces up, bend at the knees to use the lower body and grab the ball to repeat the medicine ball slam exercise again. Use as part of cardio workout or a power training workout.
