There weren't many videos about UTV/ORV riding in the Bighorn Mountains that I could find on YouTube. Hope to keep this Gem hidden, but hopefully it will help you make a decision to enjoy the outdoors! While 200 miles doesn't seem like a lot of riding for a week, we never hit the same trail twice and the kids never got bored. Great scenery, a lot of animals, places to hike, places to swim, and many places to relax away from everyone. Some of the ORV trails were smooth, some had a steep incline, some were rock laiden and made the suspension work, but the scenery and beautiful wilderness was worth it. I only shared the trails to give you a short look at what you might encounter. Overall a great place to ride. We used a RZR XP4 1000 and Ranger Crew.
This ride covers:
- Trail 17 from HWY 14 down to Cement Mountain and up to Lookout Mountain.
- The trails around Cone, Medicine, and Bald Mountains including the ride to Porcupine Falls.
- The trails from Burgess Jct to Freeze Out Point and Twinn Buttes.
We used Avenza to track the ride and follow the Bighorn National Forrest Map, being there is no phone service, this seemed to work best with the offline maps.
