The Kronstadt Rebellion or Kronstadt Mutiny happened during the Russian Civil War in 1921. It is one of the left-wing uprisings against the Bolsheviks in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution (1917). The Kronstadt Sailors were shocked by the effects of war communism and the Red Terror which were carried out by Lenin and Trotsky during the Russian Civil War. Led by Stepan Petrichenko they revolted against the Bolsheviks. The Red Army marched in the subdue the Kronstadt Uprising. The clock was ticking, because the ice between Petrograd and Kronstadt was still thick enough to cross, but soon it would crack...
