In this drill we focus on attacking patterns through the middle. The plan is to move the defenders by passing the ball between the attackers in different positions.
When one defender is pulled out of the back four, the attacker runs through this space and receives the ball. By playing with the "third man" you can train these situations. In many situations the defenders only focus on the two players who played the ball instead of looking at the third man, who makes the run into the depth.
