I started calisthenics in the beginning of 2017. Before this, I have no idea what is front lever and other calisthenics elements.
AND.....
I HAVE NO IDEA THAT IT CAN BE SO CHALLENGING AND DIFFICULT!
It's literally impossible for me to do a single calisthenics movement! That's what attracted me into calisthenics until now!
In the May of 2018, finally I can hold a full front lever for 4 - 5 seconds!
I followed all the progression as follow:
1) Tucked FL
2) Single Leg FL
3) Advanced Tucked FL
4) Straddle FL
5) Assisted Full FL with Resistance band
6) Full FL
*Apart from holding, I always add on FL pull up to increase my pulling strength as you can see in my training video.
