Red Devil lime is the best if you can find its as it's pure lime plaster.
What is a wing trowel or tool for plastering? It's what I'm using in this video; it's called a wing trowel or tool because it really does look as if it has wings.
It's handy if you fill a corner with your choice of plaster mud and pull it up and then down a couple times, and Voila, a perfectly plastered corner.
You can use interior caulking, or even better yet, they sell "Red Devil" in a small can.
It's pure Lime putty; it flexes when filling the crack and moves when the house shifts.
Why does plaster crack in corners? Movement or vibrations cause all plaster to hairline cracks; it's normal and easy to fix.
