There is controversy as to DHEA's anabolic effects. So, I put DHEA to the test. Let me assure you that it works, and it works fantastic.
Why else would the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) ban it if it does not work?

"In 2004, the U.S. Controlled Substances Act has been modified to include androstenedione (4-dione) as an anabolic steroid. However, despite the common knowledge that dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is the precursor of testosterone, DHEA has been excluded from the list of anabolic steroids."

"Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is a hormone that your body naturally produces in the adrenal gland. DHEA helps produce other hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. Natural DHEA levels peak in early adulthood and then slowly fall as you age. A synthetic version of DHEA is available as a tablet, capsule, powder, topical cream and gel." [ Ссылка ]
"The role of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and its sulphated form (DHEAS) as anabolic hormones is still debated in the literature. In this review we describe the fundamental steps of DHEA physiological secretion and its peripheral metabolism. Moreover we will list all the observational and intervention studies conducted in humans." [ Ссылка ]
"1-DHEA is also the only one of these newer DHEA derivatives that actually has a clinical study with significant data. In 2013, a study was conducted at the Human Performance Lab at Texas A&M University on 1-DHEA and its anabolic effect on resistance trained athletes." [ Ссылка ]
"In almost all countries except the U.S., DHEA is treated as a controlled anabolic steroid. In the U.S., DHEA is exempt from the Controlled Substances Act, which means it is treated differently from other steroids. DHEA is also allowed in dietary supplements by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Is DHEA prohibited in sport?"

"Is DHEA very anabolic on its own, or only after it converts to testosterone? I've been seeing some good results at the gym, but I have low test and high dhea (from DHEA supplementation). I wish it was this easy to raise test!! unless your DHEA is low, it's not likely to do much for ya." [ Ссылка ]
"Exogenous DHEA is listed as an anabolic agent by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). It's prohibited from use at all times by athletes regulated by the said institution. So, Can DHEA Help Build Your Muscles? Granted, there are huge merits to increasing your DHEA levels."
