Skills Sheet Normal Childbirth Delivery Link
[ Ссылка ]
For centuries, women delivered their own children alone or minimal help. Many births have taken place at home, in the woods or in bodies of water. In many countries today, women opt to have home deliveries, even in North America. Because most births are normal and without complications, many women hire a Midwife or Doula to guide the mother through home birthing. While a high percentage of women remain traditional to hospital deliveries, some women do not have medical insurance coverage to cover Prenatal Care and/or Labor and Delivery Expenses. Labor in general may last several hours and in some cases it can take days before delivery. Regardless of the intended birthing plan for home or hospital birth, there are times when a women will find herself going into labor early and with little to no time to prepare transport to the designated birthing location. This is when the Emergency Medical System (EMS) 911 is activated to provide the childbirth delivery at a prehospital location to include inside a vehicle that is pulled over on the road. Every childbirth scenario is different and with many complex good and bad variables. To try and capture every possible detail in a training scenario would result in an 8 hour training video. WE AIN'T GOT TIME FOR THAT!!! Therefore, the video is intended to give you a basic overview of Prehospital Childbirth during a normal delivery with two minor, but common complications: Nuchal Cord and Unresponsive Newborn. The remainder of the training is realistic to a home, field, or hospital delivery with the exception of supplies and materials. Sending someone to boil water and find towels, is primarily a ploy to distract that person that may need something to do and to feel involved. Whatever you do, do not bring scorching hot water near the delivery scene. The skills sheet is linked above in this description.
