I’ve been contemplating how I could make a design with palm trees in my soap so that I could make another beautiful summer sunset. I finally figured that I would make the palm trees with two separate stencils so that there wouldn’t be too much pressure on them, being that they’re so thin. To pull this off, I would have to pour the outer layer of sky first, finish the palm trees, and then start with that same color of sky once again and continue into the sunset. Well I ended up realizing a bit too late that those two sections of sky weren’t the same shade and I had underestimated the amount of colorant that I used in the first portion.
I decided to continue with the soap as I had already started and struggled through the palm trees themselves. It still came out pretty, although not as originally planned, and they do smell amazing!
The fragrance is a classic cucumber melon with some added green notes all on a base of musk. It is fantastic! I purchased mine here:
