Something I have come to appreciate is a heavy base. This stonfo base that comes with the elite vise is pretty good. However I notice while shooting a video it shifted on me and I had to re record. I’ve come to appreciate a good heavy base and a lot of guys make their own out of rock or wood, or you can even purchase after market vise bases but I wanted to see what was inside and if I could do something to add a bit more weight to it.
