No. 20 NC State rallied from going down 1-0 in the 35th minute to open ACC play with a home victory over Wake Forest at home, 2-1. After Laurel Ansbrow's first-half goal, the Wolfpack outshot the Demon Deacons 6-5 in the second. Finally in the 78th minute, Alexis Strickland found the back of the net for the third time on the season to equalize, and Jameese Joseph's game-winning fifth goal of the season came in minute 84. It was the Pack's first win against Wake since 2016.
