Gabriel Batistuta, Argentine retired professional footballer, during his playing career was nicknamed Batigol.

Regarded as one of the best strikers of his generation, distinguishes himself for his powerful volleys shots and mid and long range shots, even while was running. In 1999, Batistuta was awarded with the third in the FIFA World Player of the Year award.

In 2004 he was named by Pelé as one of the world's greatest living players in the FIFA 100 list.
