Now, to baseball. The MLB gave out its most prestigious prize, the Most Valuable Player awards. Clayton Kershaw won it for the National League; and Mike Trout for the American League.
The 26-year old Kershaw became the first NL pitcher to win MVP in almost half a century to go with his Cy Young from the day before.
The L.A. Dodgers ace won 21 games this season even though he missed about month due to injury.
Meanwhile, the L.A. Angels′ Mike Trout was unanimously voted the AL MVP in a landslide after coming in 2nd for two straight years.
And, at the age of 23, he became the 5th youngest to be bestowed with the honor and youngest-ever in a unanimous vote.
