L’Argentin signe ainsi sa dixième pole position en dix-sept meetings de FIA WTCC. Sébastien Loeb a réalisé le troisième temps, tandis que Yvan Muller et Ma Qing Hua sont respectivement cinquième et sixième. Les deux courses se dérouleront ce samedi matin, en lever de rideau des 24 Heures du Nürburgring.

José María López mastered the Nordschleife to dominate qualifying at the Nürburgring. The Argentine driver picked up his tenth pole position in just his seventeenth FIA WTCC meeting. Sébastien Loeb clocked the third-fastest time, while Yvan Muller and Ma Qing Hua finished fifth and sixth respectively. The two races will take place on Saturday morning, as a curtain-raiser for the 24 Hours Nürburgring.
