Trauma surgery is an intense but really exciting service that is completely unpredictable especially at a level one trauma center. Although the day is always busy, the nights is when things are the most intense. I have the utmost respect for trauma surgeons because it's exhausting and sometimes terrifying but of course incredibly rewarding because you SAVE LIVES almost everyday. What an amazing job!
