We ran into a heavy rainstorm while visiting Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. The storm hit quickly and caught us unprepared. As we sought shelter in the campground area, a couple in an RV invited us inside. We held up there as the rain quickly turned to golf ball sized hail and water gushed under the RV. When the rain let up they gave us plastic garbage bags to use a ponchos and we headed for our bus. We were surprised to see our bus was gone and water was roaring over the cliffs.
