On his back and getting pummeled with hard rights and lefts, Niko Price was in a world of trouble and possibly on the verge of being finished in his UFC Tampa bout at Amalie Arena on Saturday.
Then he changed everything with a hellish upkick that connected flush on James Vick's chin and knocked him out on his feet. Vick fell in a heap onto Price's midsection and "The Hybrid" cemented the stunning first-round KO with some punches of his own, as he more than lived up to his nickname once again.
Just like that, Price delivered a mind-numbing KO from his back, improved to 14-3 and reinforced the notion that he could record a knockout from practically any position in the Octagon.
