On 24 February 2004, James Hayter made history when he came on as an 84th minute substitute while playing for AFC Bournemouth and netted the fastest hat-trick in Football League history.
The Cherries were 3--0 up at home to Wrexham when he put three past Andy Dibble in under three minutes, beating the record set by Jimmy Scarth of Gillingham in 1952.
