It is reported that the Pakistan Army has acquired approximately 300 Chinese-made DongFeng Mengshi GEN-III CSK-182 4×4 armored personnel carriers.
According to a tweet from The Intel Consortium, deliveries of the Mengshi GEN-III CSK-182 began in 2021.
Dongfeng Mengshi is a family of military vehicles developed by Dongfeng Motor Group based on its experience in producing the Hummer H1 under license.
Before being exported, the Mengshi GEN-III CSK-182 was used by the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) since 2017.
For performance, Mengshi CSK-182 has a top speed of 120 km / h and is able to explore up to a distance of 600 km.
The Mengshi CSK-182 APC variant can accommodate eight armed soldiers and a gun operator and driver.
The vehicle can carry a remote-controlled weapon station (RCWS) armed with a 12.7mm or 14.5mm caliber machine gun.
The vehicle has also been equipped with satellite communication devices and long-range night-vision cameras.
In addition to the APC version, there are also ambulance variants, electronic signal/intelligence, command & control vehicles, including platforms for anti-tank missile launchers (ATGM).
