The Cultural Development Foundation (CDF), partner agencies, and stakeholders are excited to announce the Virtual Launch of Emancipation Celebrations 2024. We embark on this transformative journey dedicated to honouring and preserving our ancestors' rich history and cultural heritage.

This is the third year of our emancipation initiative "𝗘𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀", which will focus on a staged reenactment of the Rabot Uprising of 1796 and other activities.

Emancipation Day holds profound significance for communities around the world, marking a pivotal moment in history when formally enslaved were freed and began their journey toward liberty and equality. The emancipation celebration is not just a symbol of slavery but triumph and victory over an oppressive system.
