In the final of the Copa del Rey in Spain, Catalan supporters (FC Barcelona) and Basque supporters (Athletic Club de Bilbao) were protesting against the Spanish anthem as they are not Spanish.
As a curiosity, the Spanish authorities, preventing that, had installed a sound system of 100.000 watts (aprox. the sound produced by a plane) but the protest was massive.
Also the Spanish TV censored the sound, so I took the sound of a Catalan radio.
To all people that don't understand this, just imagine that some other country doesn't allow your anthem to be played and, instead, they play a foreign anthem imposing their nationality to you. How would you react? Would you sing the foreign anthem betraying your country?
It's easy for all of you that your nation has a state to claim that this is disrespectful. But think about it. We are the first ones that want to respect foreign anthems if our anthem is played afterwards. Visca Catalunya
