Outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to topple the new government after refusing to host a handover ceremony for his successor Naftali Bennett.
The 71-year-old’s 12-year reign came to an abrupt end after his former ally-turned-rival Mr Bennett formed an eight-party coalition to oust Mr Netanyahu from the country’s helm.
In a formal address, Netanyahu accused the new government of fraud and stated his intention to "rescue the people and State of Israel".
