The next step in this progression will be to practice the initial two hits. If you can maintain proper technique and watch the ball intently for the first two hits, once you progress to the continuous version of this routine, you should be able to extend those good habits to every stroke.
To start this challenge, step forward and drive the ball into the side wall with your forehand. Allow the ball to bounce into the opposite wall and then the floor. As the ball comes back towards you, drive it with your backhand right back where it came from. Pick up the ball and reset for your next set.
Before each stroke, make sure your racket is up and ready to cleanly hit the forehand and backhand drives.
If you can repeat this pattern of forehand drive, backhand drive, 25 times in a row without losing control or making a mistake, go ahead and move on to Side to Side Level 2B.
