In this late Feb 24 adventure, Bear Paws Custom, Handpoured, 4 inch "Flail Tail Gobies" worked quite well in the (still cold) waters of a Missouri conservation area pond. Salamander imitators such as Mud Puppys and Flail Tail Gobies are typically called "Water Dogs" in many parts of the country. The color of today's lure was, fortunately, perfect: Sea Breeze with black and blue flakes. BP lures are available in over 100 custom color and flake combinations and are infused with MegaStrike attractant during the manufacturing process. Rudie Tootie, papillon angling consultant (hahaha) has a nice cameo for his fans.
