Welcome to TriPhysio. This video takes you through the early phases of rehabilitation for Pes Anserine Bursitis. Following my last video, I realized how much of a lack of information there is surrounding the condition. I want to help those suffering from Pes Anserine Syndrome to get back into doing what they love, by providing a rehabilitation guide.
The Pes Anserine bursa is found on the medial (inside) aspect of your knee, just below your knee cap. This bursa is prone to irritation and compression when the inside hamstring muscles are shortened or you have a biomechanical disorder which increases the compression through the inside of your knee. Inflammation of this bursa is known as Pes Anserine bursitis, and causes pain and swelling locally in the area.
