Last month, I posted a survey from several family units that gave a general idea of the Merida cost of living for groceries each month on my website. In that article, I told you that I would track my monthly spending for food for the month of October, in Merida Mexico, like a hawk, to report accurate numbers for my family. Now I need to give you guys a BIG disclaimer. We eat out a lot. We ate out a lot in the states as well and living in Merida Mexico did not really change that habit. When I say a lot, I mean at least 1 to 2 times a day. Also, we eat at some of the most expensive places in Merida Mexico, routinely. This month alone, my wife and I have spent $75.00 each for a 5-course meal with wine pairings on separate occasions. Use this information on the cost of food expenses in Merida Mexico as a worst-case scenario for a family of 4, really 3 adults and a toddler.

I am giving you information from all sources such as groceries, restaurants, uber eats, and Rappi food deliveries. The least amount was from groceries. However, we did eat more breakfast meals at home during the week. Take a look at the video below for an explanation.
