The Chicago White Sox selected left-handed power pitcher Hagen Smith with the No. 5 overall pick in the MLB Draft. They drafted him the same day USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported the Sox are still motivated to trade Garrett Crochet. Smith has a lot of similarities to Crochet, so it feels like they drafted his replacement.
