n the 16th of June 1983, a young boxer named Luis Resto fought against undefeated 21-year-old Billy Collins in an important boxing match. but something happened wrong in the match. Unfortunately, Resto was found to have used unapproved padding on his gloves and had illegally taken out padding from his opponent’s gloves. This led to Resto being disqualified. When Collins’ father came to shake hands with Resto after the fight, he noticed that Resto’s gloves were significantly thinner than usual and were not up to par with regulations. In the days following, an investigation conducted by the California State Athletic Commission revealed that Resto had removed 25 grams of padding from each of his opponents’ gloves during training before the fight. After this, undefeated Colin never fought because of his permanent vision impairment. it caused him depression and after nine months he died in a car accidento
