Getting out of bed becomes more difficult once your belly starts to get bigger in your second or third trimester.
One technique is to start on your side, slide your legs to the floor, and use your arms to push yourself into a sitting position. Then ease your way to the edge of the bed and stand up.
Take your time getting up, and don't forget that your center of gravity has changed. Avoid sudden moves that might make you lose your balance or aggravate any back pain you may be feeling.
Don't hesitate to ask for help, if possible, when getting into and out of bed and finding a comfortable sleeping position.
