Australia’s longest running conflict is coming to a close in 2021 on the 20 year anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre.
The Afghanistan War has been continued by both Liberal and Labor prime ministers and over the span of the war over 39,000 troops have been deployed.
Australia announced it was leaving the war back in 2012 and the 80 troops remaining in Afghanistan will be home by September.
