I haven’t seen any comparison videos so I made this.
First difference is where they set up. Mykolas has his right foot on the midline whereas Virgilijus straddles it.
From here Virgilijus sweeps with a longer and high right leg though it leads the turn similar Mykolas. The big difference is Virgilijus has an active left arm pull that Mykolas does not have. Probably as a reaction to the longer right leg.
Virgilijus now pulls the left arm in close though he doesn’t not pause it. His left foot skims the circle as he comes around as well. Mykolas on the other hand pauses the the upper body and carries the left foot high before placing it down at the front.
Mykolas’s left foot actually lands faster than Virgilijus at the front of the ring with the discus farther back. Possibly a factor of age difference though the technique is also not the same.
While Mykolas is more balanced in this particular throw Virgilijus typically has a better finish. The real difference is that Virgilijus’s axis of rotation is more on his left side where Mykolas is down the middle.
Neither hold a particularly long block opting to bring the left foot back quicker.
