Authentic Homemade Shawerma
Ingredients:1 Lb lamb or beef (roast), cut into strips, marinated overnight with 3 Tbs yogurt, 2 Tbs shawerma spices (which will substitute all the spices seen in the video), juice of 1 lemon & its peel (cut into small slices), 1 Tbs tahini, 1 Tbs soy sauce, 1 Tbs pomegranate molasses, 3 Tbs vegetable oil, 1 Tbs salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 Tbs vinegar, 1 Tbs tajin Mexican spice, and 1 Tbs ketchup. Place meat slices in oven safe pan. Put in preheated oven at 400ºF for about 10-15 min, then turn on broil at 500ºF and keep for an extra 3 min. Serve with pita bread, tomato slices, pickles slices, chopped parsley and fresh mint, onion slices, and hummus. Enjoy!
