Outgoing Victorian Liberal MP Tim Smith says there will be “no uniformity” in the state election and there will be “87 different by-elections”.

“I think there will be seats with drastically different swings across Victoria, across Melbourne,” he told Sky News Australia.

“I think everyone should hold onto their hats, I think we’re going to be here for a very long time tonight.”
