While the charming French city of Dijon would normally conjure images of wine, food and architecture, currently “fires, gunshots and fighting” are being seen in the streets says Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Mr Kenny said “horrible gang violence” has reportedly erupted in the area as Chechen immigrants are facing confrontations with “groups of North African locals”.

He said it is “hard to find out a lot about what is happening, whether racial issues are prominent or criminal elements or both, because strangely the international media seems to be largely ignoring it”.

“It looks deeply worrying”.
