Former US Army Vice Chief of Staff General Jack Keane says Houthi rebels managing to disrupt the global supply chain and the US not being able to stop them is “quite remarkable.”
“This has been a stunning achievement by the Houthis to disrupt the global supply chain like this,” General Keane told Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt.
“The United States and our allies have not been able to stop it.
“It is really quite remarkable.”
The group of Shia Islamists based in western Yemen have attacked several ships in the Red Sea with drones, rockets and, in some cases, helicopters in a bid to, according to the group, end ground offensives on the Gaza strip.
