Hey everybody!
There are two parts to this, the first part is basically me talking about how I landed my first client and tips and advice. The second part is showing you literally what I did to search for jobs that helped me land my first freelance job.
Here are my tips and advice on how to use Upwork to land your first clients.
Tips:
1. Complete your profile as much as possible.
2. Double check and make sure the client has payment verfied and has good ratings and feedback as well.
3. Personalize the cover letter based on the job description. Be transparent and let them know your starting off in the freelance industry.
4. Show your clients your personal work if you don't have any review and is starting off. Tell them a little bit about your professional background if you have any.
5. Use your Connects wisely and complete the Upwork Readiness Test to obtain the Rising Talent Badge.
6. Don't be picky of how much the job is...you want to collect 1-3 different reviews from clients first.
7. DON'T GIVE UP. Apply and keep applying. You will land a freelance gig.
I uploaded another video where I'm sharing my screen on the steps I took to search for my UX/UI Design freelance gig. Check that out too!
