Should you ride in the winter?
Yes - Quite simply, unless you live in an area so cold and snowed in for the entire season, we see no reason why not to. And even then, you can these days ride indoors too!
Why would you ride in the winter?
Fitness gains for a start. Enjoyment. Social interaction with other like-minded cyclists can really help make some of the grim winter rides more bearable.
Have a break?
Time off, enjoy not having to get dirty or cold and wet for a few weeks. A perfect time to recharge your body and mind. Voluntary rest can prevent enforced rest when you want it least!
Training - What to focus on?
Focus on building your strengths and improving your weaknesses. Increasing your fitness can be done on fewer hours when the weather is really bad, but aim to profit on good weeks when you can.
