A varied group of seven individual high-altitude climbers from across the United States - wonderfully guided by Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. - gathered in Ecuador for one extraordinary week of climbing and culture in June 2009. They would come to refer to themselves as Team Gringos Con Gas. Here is a brief glimpse of their adventures: from the Pasochoa Forest Reserve (12,600 ft elev) to Illiniza Norte (16,000 ft elev) - to eventually Cotopaxi (19,348 ft elev) and Cayambe (18,998 ft elev).
