Check out one of our #FeatureFriday students, Kat Gallardo, playing her tribute song, "The Creator."
"For some, engineering and music may seem like complete polar opposites. One is calculated, analytical and precise. The other is expressive, artistic and has no "right or wrong answer." If there is at least one thing that engineers and musicians have in common, it is that we are both creators. Engineers build systems and devices to contribute to technological advancements and human progress at large. Musicians write words, rhythms and melodies to express their deepest aspirations, longings, miseries and joys, all through the beauty of art. Both engineers and musicians share a special gift – the ability to create something as a result of an intellectual idea. Without the idea, there would be nothing to engineer."
