My name is Javier Rodriguez and I am an acute care nurse practitioner. I've always liked to work with people and was looking for a career where I could help and develop relationships and improve the lives of others. My philosophy of care is to work with the patient and understand the background of the person and take a holistic approach, so we can figure out what’s wrong and how we can work together to manage the
Problem.

I am originally from Chile, but I moved to Nashville in 2004 and I moved to Louisville recently to come here to Norton.

The most typical food from my home is seafood. I mean, the country is so long and narrow right next to the Pacific Ocean, so there is plenty of seafood. That's what I miss the most and that's what I like the most.

Actually my wife grew up here in Louisville. We met in college and after finishing school we decided that she wanted to come back. She has great stories about this city and I was looking forward to discover a new place and Louisville was a perfect spot for both of us. We don't have kid. We do have three dogs, which are practically our children. Their great. They keep us busy and moving.

I’m a really laid back kind of guy and actually for fun I grow orchids. We have about 50 orchids in our house. So, I have like fifty-three kids, yes. They don't take that much care as people think, but I get to talk to them and water and fertilize and check them and make sure that they are growing okay. They teach you patience. They bloom only once a year, so I actually get to spend time in the house with my plants, with my dogs, with my wife. So, that's kind of what I like to do.
