Jai Jinendra!
“Jai Jinendra” is the most common greeting by Jains. These two words Jai and Jinendra carry lot of depth and admiration then merely saying hello or goodbye!
Jai Jinendra is a Sanskrit word, which means adoration of God.
This gesture is an acknowledgement of the soul in everybody, which is capable to be a God. It also represents the belief that there is a divine spark within each of us.
Bowing the head is a gesture of respect and Keeping palm together means welcome and unity.
This greeting is for all – person younger to us, older to us, friends, strangers and even to our self.
