Our very own Cotswold Outdoor Store Expert, Tom, takes you through what he thinks are the best features of the Men’s Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket.
The Mens Nano Puff Jacket from Patagonia finds a home with any alpine climber or backcountry aficionado. Its wind-blocking, 100% recycled polyester shell sheds moisture and glides effortlessly in your layering system. Low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft Gold Insulation Eco—with 55% postconsumer recycled content—traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The jacket has a sculpted fit, with narrow, horizontal quilting on the shaped side panels, and the soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort. An internal zipped chest pocket doubles as a self-stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. Details include a pair of zipped handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

Hi, I'm Tom from
Cotswold in Harrogate, and today
I'd like to talk about the Patagonia men's
Nano Puff jacket.
The insulation used in this synthetic
jacket is top drawer Primaloft filling.
The filling is Primaloft Gold
Insulation Eco and is produced using PURE;
Produced Using Reduced Emissions
for an even smaller carbon footprint.
There are some features
I really love about this jacket.
One is it is so thin
and that's a really good point
because it's great
for layering up with other jackets.
If you're going out winter walking,
you want you waterproofs on top.
It's really, really nice.
Also, I've seen a lot of people
and I've got a couple of friends
who use this jacket in the Alps
for dry, colder conditions where you need
the lightest possible jacket.
It is absolutely brilliant.
And if the rain does come in
a bit quicker, the windproof
and highly water
resitant shell will keep you warm.
Another great feature
is just how much space you get at the cuff
with the ribbed cuff over the top.
You get into your watch,
making sure you catch the last lift
or before closing time, obviously.
And of course, the Patagonia men's Nano
Puff jacket wouldn't be a decent jacket
without the internal pocket,
which turns into its own stuff sack.
It's almost more of a challenge
if you're on the lift on the way down.
Click here to listen to Mel talk about
women's jackets far better than I can.
