Prime Minister Anthony Albanese highlights the importance of training Australians for jobs in the manufacturing sector, spruiking fee free TAFE places.
“We promised 180,000 fee free TAFE places this year we not only have met that target, we’ve exceeded it,” Mr Albanese said during a media conference on Wednesday.
“There’s now above 220,000 people including people here being trained.”
Mr Albanese spoke at a Newcastle rail maintenance facility and paid tribute to company for creating jobs.
“We can make things here, not just make things for the domestic market, but we can make things here for the international market.”
