FITNESS: Strength training? Hello, friends, I have spoken about the fundamentals of fitness in this series. We discussed cardio in the previous videos, the second component is strength training. What is a strength training component? Any form of exercise using resistance example being a dumbbell, a barbell or a machine. It exerts positive pressure on bones, joints, muscles, ligaments. What are the benefits of strength training? Firstly it strengthens your skeletal structure, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. Apart from this, there are various health benefits too.
1: It reduces the incidence of cardiovascular diseases.
2: It reduces the incidence of stroke
3: reduces the incidence of infections
4: reduces the incidence of cancers.
How long should we perform strengthening exercises? 30-40 min a day for a commoner and 6 times a week for a full-time athlete. The very important thing is that it increases the resting metabolic rate and if you want to burn fat or lose weight this is very important. When you put it all together
1. You can become stronger
2.you can reduce your body fat
3.improve your physical performance.
If you are starting to train after the age of 35, your metabolism differs than a younger you ‘ so take guidance from an expert, doctor, trainer to avoid injuries.
