Barnaby Webber's mother, Emma, says it will be her family's "life sentence" to make sure Valdo Calocane never comes out.
She was speaking to Sky News after a judge ruled that the Nottingham killer's indefinite hospital sentence was not "unduly lenient".
Calocane, who has paranoid schizophrenia, was handed an indefinite hospital order for the manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility of Barnaby, Grace O'Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates, and the attempted murder of three others.
