Was Jesus really praising the widow (Mark 12) for presenting her offering when she didn't have enough money to buy a loaf of bread, or was He condemning the religious leaders for their abuse of widows?
One of the critical hurdles in discussions about the Church, politics, and related issues is the prevalent misunderstanding among many Christians of Jesus' teachings on the Kingdom of God. It's time for us to reevaluate our beliefs and actions, as they often lead us to advocate for the wrong things or approach issues in the wrong way. 
In this series, I address what I believe are the foundational elements of Jesus' proclamation of the Kingdom of God and note how this differs from what we see in much of Western Evangelical Christianity today.
We will look at questions such as: What is the Kingdom?; What is the Gospel?; What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus?" What is the role of the Church in the world?; What does a kingdom ethic look like?; and more.
These questions are more relevant than ever as we enter into the midst of a political season like none other in the US. The US is engaged in endless wars; we have economic issues; Christian Nationalism is a significant issue.
