OLD-FASHIONED TEA CAKES
(Makes 24 to 26 cakes)
6 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. lemon zest
1 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 tsp, almond extract
